Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of red dragon peels powder (Hylocereus polyrhizus) various concentration as feed additive on Rex male fattening rabbits. 20 rabbits placed in individual cages and adapted to commercial feed. The feed additive of red dragon peels powder in feed respectively 0%, 7%, 8%, and 9% was given for four weeks. Data were collected during the first, second, third and fourth weeks (including twenty eight days) in the form of feed consumption, feed conversion, and weight gain data. The study used a completely randomized design with four treatments and five replications. Data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with 5% significance level. The data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with 5% significance level. the result of the analysis showed that the ρ value was more than the alpha value (> 0,05), so there was no significant difference between feeding feed additive treatment of various concentration on body weight gain.
