Abstract

Introduction: Self-acceptance is an attitude of individuals to accept the reality and actualization of their live especially about HIV status. Many factors can be affected i.e. self efficacy which are intimately connected with a self-assurance. This theory begins from what they thought, sure, and taste that will affect how they behave. Social support as a eksternal factor of the individual can also affect the acceptance of the self with reduce the psychological burden of people living with HIV Methods: the purpose of this research was to identify the relationship between the level of self efficacy and social support with self-acceptance HIVpositive clients. The design of this research uses descriptive corelational study. The sample were 30 respondents HIV according the criteria of inclusion. The independent ofthis research are level of self efficacy and social peers support , whereas the dependent variables of the study is self-acceptance. These data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed by spearman’s rho test with p<0.05. Result: The results of this research show that there is a relationship between self efficacy and self-acceptance (p = 0.019) and there is a relationship between peer social support with self-acceptance (p = 0.000). Discussion: Conclusions from this reasearch that level of self efficacy and social support peers can affect the value of self-acceptance, the greater the value of self efficacy and social support, the greater the value of self-acceptance.
