Abstract

The present study was to assess the carbofuran induced inflammation, degeneration and necrosis in histophatological analysis of duodenal’s mice offspring with exposure by transmamary. The aim of this study was to evaluate duodenal inflammation, degeneration, and necrosis in the suckling mice whose mother were exposed to the carbofuran. Mice adult in lactation period Balb/C were randomly into four groups. Group one (P0) as a control were not exposed by carbofuran, group two (P1) were exposed carbofuran low dose 1/16 LD50 (=0,3125 mg), group three (P2) were exposed carbofuran with moderate dose 1/8 LD50 (=0,625 mg), and group four (P3) were exposed cabofuran with high dose 1/4 LD50 (=1,25 mg) for nine days from first day their offspring was born. On the 10th days of experimental, twenty offspring were randomly selected and dissected and the duodenal was taken to made histopathology sample. The result of this study carbofuran caused increased inflammation (p=0.001), degeneration (p=0.001) and necrosis (p=0.002) between control and low dose, moderate dose, high dose. The conclusion is transfer carbofuran intoxication through the mother’s milk resulted inflammation, degeneration, and necrosis in duodenal of mice offspring along with increased doses.
