Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine administration of various levels of PUFA (Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid) which can reduce stress levels of (Rattus norvegicus) in excisional wound care. Method used in this study was an experimental design with descriptive analysis. There were five groups treatment in which each group contain of six albino rats (Rattus norvegicus). This research use 30 male rats (Rattus norvegicus) divided by five groups,Each groups consists of six rats. All groups were taken blood on day 5,10,15 after PUFA (Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid) administration on excisional wound care. The dose of PUFA (Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid) were 100mg/kg, 200mg/kg, 300mg/kg, 400mg/kg and one control group. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results of this study indicate that on day 15 was the highest decrease in cortisol levels. The most effective dose treatment group was in group A3(200 mg/kg) with a value of 65.4 ng / dl. Conclusion in this research adduction PUFA (Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid) with dose 100, 200, 300, 400 can reduce the hormone cortisol in albino rats blood serum on treatment of wound excisional
