Abstract
The aims of the current study were to investigate the antimicrobial activity, which the solvent that giving extract with highest activity and phytochemical screening of the extract of the Enhalus acoroides. The antimicrobial activity of the extract was determinedusing diffusion method and microdilution method minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, Eschericia coli ATCC 8739 and Candida albicansATCC10231. The results showed that ethyl acetateextract of Enhalus acoroides inhibited the growth of Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, Eschericia coli ATCC 8739 and Candida albicansATCC10231 at Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) 500ppm. From phytochemical screening tests,it was found thatethyl acetateextract of Enhalus acoroidescontainedpolyphenols, flavonoids and have antioxidant activity.
