Abstract

role of communication while giving information in promoting tourism destinations in Denpasar, communication played an important role in promoting tourism destinations in Denpasar. Good communication could help, influence, and invite them to visit tourism destinations. There are many countries in the world right now that try to promote their countries to be the tourism destination, simply because the visitation of foreign tourists will give them much income and eventually will play a role in developing and advancing the state of the nation or country itself. The second is about solutions that need to be made in order to deal with the problems that often arise in giving information to foreign tourists. The writer encountered during his time of internship at the TIC of Denpasar City was that he could not find any written handbooks or rules that could help him in doing his job as a staff of TIC of Denpasar City. TIC of Denpasar City, should create a guideline for the staff so that they will not giving information as they please without any standard. The guideline will help the staff, especially the new ones, to be able to give information in the right way.The third were about the obstacles. The internship at the TIC of Denpasar City was such an important experience. It helped him to improve his knowledge regarding the world on tourism, especially in the line of giving information regarding tourism objects to foreign tourists who were curious to explore the island of Bali. The writer found was that he had problems in adjusting to the culture of Bali itself. the island of Java, was having difficulties of living life in new surroundings, in this case, Bali. At the first few weeks, the writer was very unsettled regarding his life in Bali, but after taking some time adjusting, the writer eventually felt great and was able to do the job at the TIC of Denpasar City better with improved mood and determination.
