Abstract

The purpose of this research was found out the effect of giving lactic acid bacteria probiotic into drinking water towards feed consumption, weight gain, and feed conversion of broiler chicken. This research was an experimental research. Experimental animal used in this research was 20 days old male broiler chickens of strain Cobb 700 as many as 28 chickens. Addition of lactic acid bacteria probiotic did not give to P0. Addition of lactic acid bacteria probiotic Lactobacillus acidophilus as much as 1ml/liter into drinking water for P1, addition of lactic acid bacteria probiotic Lactobacillus casei as much as 1ml/liter into drinking water for P2, addition of lactic acid bacteria probiotic Lactobacillus fermentum as much as 1ml/liter into drinking water for P3, addition of lactic acid bacteria probiotic Lactobacillus plantarum as much as 1ml/liter into drinking water for P4, addition of lactic acid bacteria Pediococcus probiotic as much as 1ml/liter into drinking water for P5, addition of lactic acid bacteria probiotic mix as much as 1ml/liter for P6. Data collecting within last 1 week by measured remaining given feed and weight gain of broiler chicken. Collected data analyzed with Analysis of Variant (ANOVA) and Kruskal Wallis Test. According to amount calculating result of feed consumption and weight gain of broiler chicken showed that the giving of lactic acid bacteria probiotic 1ml/liter of drinking water to broiler chicken can increase weight gain, decrease the feed conversion ratio but did not decrease feed consumption rate of broiler chicken (p<0.05).
