Abstract

Competency exams are a process to measure the knowledge, skills and attitudes of health workers in accordance with professional standards. The most nursing students in the profession are still not ready to face the Indonesian Ners Competency Test (UKNI). The readiness is carried out through try out. Based on the phenomenon above, the researcher wants to analyze the relationship between the results of try out and the achievement of UKNI for students of professional programs for the past 2 years. Method : This study used secondary data from the academic field data of the Faculty of Nursing Airlangga University. The design of this study was descriptive analytic with a cross sectional approach. The samples are all Airlangga University Nursing Faculty students who graduated from the Ners professional education program in 2016 and 2017. Variables were the results of the try out of the Indonesian Ners Competency Test (UKNI) based on 7 reviews and the achievement of the Indonesian Ners Competency Test (UKNI) in 2017 and 2018. Data analyze used spearman rank correlation with significance level α≤0,05. Result : The try out results for Ners professors at the Faculty of Nursing at Airlangga University during 2017 and 2018 showed that most had sufficient and low scores. The achievement of the UKNI showed that most of the UKNI participants were competent in achieving the UKNI as many as 321 participants from a total of 329 participants. Discussion : An effective effort increase pass rate is the Try Out or training before facing UKNI so that it can measure the extent to which the ability of professional student participants in preparing UKNI.
