Abstract

Child marriage is a global health and social problem. Marriage occurs in children before 18 years old. This problem has taken long-term risk on adolescent girls. In this modern era, easy to acces reproductive health information has not been able to empowering bride to be giving outcome healthy quality pregnancy and family planning. This research aims was to explored the phenomenon of child marriage in term of comprehension the reproductive health the brides to be in the city of Surabaya. The type of research was used methodological approach qualitative using the phenomenology paradigm with in-depth interview data collection. The participants of this research were brides to be. There were 7 participants who got married in the range of February – April 2019 whose were collected from three KUA with a high prevalence of child marriage before 18 years old. The finding of this research revealed a category of themes first, that issued low knowledge about reproductive health. Second, low of comprehension reproductive healts. Third, responses to problems that impact factor of reproductive health. It can be concluded, the risk factors for the marriage of children in the city of Surabaya are influenced by internal factors and external factors. The lack of the caring and the low role of partisipants in empowering themselves impact to the ways-which will did the maintain the reproductive healths, still involves sosio-cultural, and habbits thaught by the parents.
