Abstract

Adolescent premarital sexual acts are manifestations of sexual deviations that are carried out without marriage ties. Unwanted pregnancy is one of the unwanted impacts. One of the schools that had experienced this impact was "X" High School in Probolinggo District. Factors that contribute to premarital sexual acts of adolescents include individuals or environmental factors. This is in accordance with the theory of social cognitive with the concept of reciprocal determism, where human behavior and the environment interact and influence each other which leads to behavior change. The purpose of this study was to analyze factors related to premarital sexual acts of adolescents. This is an analytic observational study with a cross sectional research design. The population in this study included all classes X and XI in "X" High School in Probolinggo District with simple random sampling resulted in 80 respondents according to the research criteria. The independent variables of this study were knowledge, attitudes, self-efficacy or self efficacy, closeness to parents, peer influence, and media exposure. The dependent variable used was premarital sexual acts of adolescents. Data processing and analysis was carried out using Chi-Square test. The finding showed that the majority of adolescents had premarital sexual behavior with low risk. The Chi-Square test results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge, self efficacy, closeness with parents, and peer influence with premarital sexual acts of adolescents with each significant value p = 0.027, p = 0.000, p = 0.017, and p = 0.047. However, attitude and media exposurevariables did not have a relationship with premarital sexual acts of adolescents. The conclusion of this study showed that knowledge, self-efficacy or selfefficacy, closeness to parents, and peer influence are risk factors for premarital sexual acts of adolescents in the "X" High School of Probolinggo Regency. Advice that can be given are to health agencies and schools to develop access to information related to reproductive health and sexuality correctly for adolescents, so that adolescents get reliable resources to improve understanding before acting, and provide counseling to parents to maintain good relations with children through communication and supervision of the association of children in adolescence.
