Abstract

In this chapter, I would like to explain my conclusion based on the previous chapter, chapter III. Based on the discussion from chapter III, there are two things that I can conclude, first is about the strategies of translation. While I was doing my internship time at UPT Pusat Bahasa UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur for making website to be translated, there were two strategies of translation that I used to produce translation in website. Those strategies of translation are structural strategy of translation and semantic strategy of translation. Strategy of Translation is when a translator has the tactics to make and produce a word or groups of words translation or it is probably full sentences if those sentences cannot be divided into the smaller unit to be translated. Structural strategy of translation is related to the words or sentence and it is divided by three points, such as, Addition, Deletion, and Transposition. Semantic strategy of translation is is a translation strategy that happens because of the consideration of meaning and it is divided by nine points, such as, Borrowing, Cultural Equivalent, Descriptive Equivalent and Componential Analysis, Synonym, Official Translation, Depreciation and Expansion, Addition, Omission/Deletion, Modulation. Based on the chart in Chapter III, it is concluded that the most commonly use of strategy of translation is Structural strategy of translation especially the Borrowing.
