Abstract

Antioxidant activity performed by TLC-autography. The extracts placed on TLC plate and eluated by n-heksan : ethyl acetate : formic acid( 0,5:10:1). Then TLC plates sprayed with 0,2 % DPPH solution in methanol. The presence of purple DPPH bleaching on TLC plate-autography was meant to show the existence of antioxidant activity. Ethanol 80 % extracts of Ardisia sp, Calliandra portoricensis, Ficus fistulosa, Psychotria sp, Eupatorium inulifolium were analyzed by spectrophotometer visible at wavelength 497 nm, 517 nm and 537 nm and then the extracts were measured by reacting 0,5 ml sample solution (various concentration ) with 4,5 ml 0,004% DPPH solution in methanol. The IC50 value of each extracts were analyzed by using linier regretion. The 80% ethanol extracts of Psychotria sp cortex have the lowest IC50 ( more active as antioxidant than others)
