Abstract

The nyadran tradition is engage in rites of this ceremony or the visit ancestral graves. The function is be grateful to God about harverst and pray for soul of the villages founding. Also, there is have social function like as continuity of family relationship in their village or others village, as action site the traditional art, etc. there are the local wisdom. Since the Orde Baru period until now, the nyadran had been executed together with the national independent day, August 17, simultaneous in one recidency, homogeneous ceremony. That is damage nyadran essence, and now the nyadran is identic with national independent day. The collecting data by interview, in depth interview, and participant observation. The data analysis by understanding or verstehen dan cultural domain analysis. The result, the create of state to the nyadran is the a histories, disturb the value of nyadran, disturb for family relationship, disturb for villager solidarity/collectivity, and not carry as the traditional art and traditional artist.
