Abstract

Background: The usage of Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR) angle in Temporal Bone CT is highly influence to maximize the anatomical structure of middle ear images. The technique is used to in Temporal Bone CT post-processing because of the structure is not in linier plane. Objective: To make better image using Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR) angle in Temporal Bones CT to visualizing the middle ear. Methods: 10 samples of Temporal Bone CT were reconstructed using Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR) was taken in 2018. Reconstruction results were compared with two types of angles, and analyzed using a double-blind questionnaire by respondents. Result: Some structures of the middle ear can be visualize clearly using certain angles. Whereas for the whole part anatomical structure of the middle ear reveal good image by both types of angles. Conclusion: The application of Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR) for image reconstruction using both types of angles was helpful to visualize the anatomical structure of the middle ear.
