Abstract

This study aimed to optimize the method of sample preparation for the analysis of deltamethrin in cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata) using gas chromatography with flame ionization detector (GC-FID). The optimum procedure obtained for sample preparation was using a combination solvent of n-hexane:aceton. The modified AOAC procedure was used as procedure for sample preparation. The procedure obtained was meet to linearity test in the range of deltamethrin concentration of 9,950– 99,50 mg/L. The limit of detection (LD) and limit of quantifitation (LQ) were found to be 2,189 mg/L and 6,634 mg/L, respectively. Recoveries was carried out by adding deltamethrin 53,18 mg/L (as final concentration) in to matrix blank. The result showed that recovery obtained from modified procedure of AOAC using n-hexane:aceton:acetonitril as extraction solvent was 41,96-71,80%. Where as, the procedure obtained using n-hexane:aceton as extraction solvent gained 76,19-92,01%.The precisions represented by persentage KV were 18,11% and 6,61% for solvent nhexane: aceton:acetonitril and solvent n-hexane:aceton, respectively
