Abstract

This aimed study to determine the cytotoxic effect of ethanolic extract of Annona squamosa L. seed against T47D, HeLa, WiDr, and Raji cancer cells. Annona squamosa L. contains annonaceous acetogenin, which known has cytotoxic activity. Cytotoxic test is performed by MTT assay. The parameters obtained from the cytotoxic test was IC50 values. IC50. The results showed that the seeds of Annona squamosa L. have cytotoxic activity with IC50 values were 30.152 ± 2,124 μg/ml ; 33.289 ± 3,001 μg/ml ; 19.862 ± 2,645 ; and 8.008 ± 3,871 μg/ml for T47D cell, WiDr cell, HeLa cell, and Raji cell respectively.
