Abstract

Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is a group of primary lymphocyte malignancies that can originate from B lymphocytes, T lymphocytes and sometimes (very rarely) from NK ("natural killer") cells in the lymph system; which is very heterogeneous, both histological type, symptoms, clinical course, response to treatment, and prognosis. Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma ranks eight of the ten most cancers in the world. It is estimated that as many as 14.1 million people have new cancer cases. In the same year there were 8.2 million deaths due to cancer. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between clinical manifestations and the degree of malignancy based on histopathological features in patients with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Method : This study used a retrospective analytical method with a Cross-Sectional approach using the patient's medical record data at Dr. Soetomo Surabaya who was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma for the period of January 1, 2015 - December 31, 2017. Using the total sampling method that met the inclusion criteria. Furthermore, the data of this study were processed using the Kormogolov-Smirnov normality test to determine the normal distribution of data used. In this study, data processing used the SPSS software program with statistics on the 5% significance level and 95% confidence interval with the Spearman rho correlation test to determine the level of significance of the relationship between the two variables.
