Abstract
Centella asiatica (L) U rban belonging to family Umbeliferae popularly knows as “pegagan”, is very useful medicinal plant. This research was carried out to study the anti microbial activity of ethanol extract of C entella a siatica (L) urban herbs and asiatic acid using agar dilution method. T he results showed that ethanol extract of Centella asiatica (L) urban herbs have antibacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis, wit h Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) 1.3×10 -4 μg/ml, b ut asiatic acid has no activity.
