Abstract
Creativity is the key to increasing a company's competitive advantage in a changing global business environment. Employee creativity is closely related to the leadership style that is applied. Transformational leaders motivate employees to use intangible rewards such as personal development, appreciation, and professional values. The role of the leader in encouraging creativity must also be triggered by employee self-confidence in order to be able to act creatively.Because creativity does not arise spontaneously, climate innovation is needed to strengthen employee confidence in bringing out their creativity. Based on this, this study aims to determine the effect of transformational leadership on employee creativity through climate innovation as a mediating variable and creative selfefficacy as a moderating variable.This research was conducted on the employees of PT. Sentra Vidra Utama. This research uses quantitative methods. Retrieval of data in this study using census techniques. The sample in this study were employees of PT. Sentra Vidya Utama as many as 80 people. The analysis technique used in this study is the Partial Least Square (PLS) technique.The results of this study indicate that transformational leadership significantly influences employee creativity and climate innovation as a mediating variable able to influence the relationship of transformational leadership to innovation climate and innovation climate significantly influence employee creativity. Furthermore, creative self-efficacy can strengthen the relationship of transformational leadership and employee creativity positively.
