Abstract
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is characterized by two main clinical manifestation, is a decrease amount of blood platelet (thrombocytopenia) and increase vascular permeability which causes leakage of plasma and the resulting shock. In this research yellow guava leaves extracted by four different solv ent. The activities of those extracts on two main clinical mani festation of dengue virus infection were determined using acetic acid induced vascular permeability assay and indirect method of platelets count. The result showed that all of yellow guava leaves extracts could decrease the increment of vascular permeability and increas e platelets amount in mice bloods.
