Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the potention of rice bran with phytase enzymes and supplementation turmeric powder on weight gain, feed consumption and feed conversion on broiler. Researcher used 24 broiler chickens Cobb 500 strain, which is divided into six treatments and 6 replications. Treatment is divided into P1 as negative control (100% basal feed), P2 as a positive control (100% basal feed + 2% turmeric powder) , P3 (95% basal feed + 5% rice bran with phytase enzyme + 2% turmeric powder), P4 (90% basal feed + 10% rice bran with phytase enzyme + 2% turmeric powder), P5 (85% basal feed + 15% rice bran with phytase enzyme + 2% turmeric powder) and P6 (80% basal feed + 20% rice bran with phytase enzyme + 2% turmeric powder). The results showed a signifincant difference (p<0.05) to weight gain and feed conversion, but there is no significant difference (p>0.05) to feed consumption. The conclusion of the research is the substitution of rice bran with phytase enzymes can be use 15% or less in basal feed and supplementation 2% turmeric powder has not been able to gain weight and feed consumption and lose feed conversion on broiler.
