Abstract

This study aimed to determine the HPLC (UFLC) chromatogram pattern of betel leaves’ (Piper betle L.) water extract for quality control of betel leaves’ water extract material. Optimum chromatographic condition and analytical wavelengths were determined prior to the method validation. The method validation comprises of the study of stability, intraday precision, interday precision, and peak purity. The chromatogram pattern was established and five chromatographic peaks were selected as marker peaks for database. Those had retention time at 5,368 minutes; 7,392 minutes; 10,998 minutes; 13,864 minutes; dan 14,312 minutes, respectively. The method was successfully applied for the determination HPLC (UFLC) chromatogram pattern for quality control betel leaves’ water extract material.
