Abstract
Several points can be concluded from the discussions in the previous chapter. The discussions were about the difficulties faced by tour guides in handling communication with foreign visitors and also the strategies used by tour guides in handling communication with foreign visitors. First, the writer concludes that experiencing the possible difficulties based on Ekayati and Saniaty (2018) have different factors. According to Ekayati and Saniaty (2018), there are four possible difficulties faced by tour guides in handling communication with foreign visitors, lack of knowledge of the tourist destinations, lack of language competencies, lack of self-confident, and unfamiliar terminologies. During her observation, she finds that all of those difficulties are certainly exist in the real situation. After knowing the difficulties faced by the tour guides, the writer can differentiate and overcome those difficulties easily. The writer got many obstacles in doing the observation about the difficulties faced by tour guides in handling communication with foreign visitors such as, the limited knowledge that the writer had and the unfamiliar terminologies that the writer faced. The writer addressed those obstacles by actively asking and consulting to her supervisor and other staff to get more knowledge.
