Abstract
Pendahuluan: Diagnosis dan proses pengobatan kanker menyebabkan penurunan kualitas hidup pasien. Emosi positif memperluas repertoir aksi-pikiran dan membentuk sumber daya psikologis, sosial, dan fisik yang dapat mempengaruhi status kesehatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan emosi positif dengan kualitas hidup pasien di Rumah Singgah Pasien Surabaya. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desai cross-sectional. Sampel terdiri dari 43 pasien kanker yang tinggal di Rumah Singgah Pasien IZI Jatim dan Rumah Singgah Sasana Marsudi Husada. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah emosi positif yang diukur menggunakan kuesioner Modified Differential Emotions Scale (mDES), sedangkan variabel dependen penelitian ini yaitu kualitas hidup pasien kanker dengan menggunakan kuesioner European Organization for the Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Quistionnare C30 (EORTC QLQ-C30). Data analisis menggunakan uji spearman’s rho dengan p value < 0,05. Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa emosi positif dan kualitas hidup memiliki hubungan searah dengan kekuatan lemah dengan (p= 0,040) dan (r=0,315). Diskusi: Sebagian besar responden memiliki tingkat emosi positif tinggi dan kualitas hidup baik. Semakin tinggi tingkat pengalaman emosi positif maka semakin tinggi kualitas hidup pasien kanker. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat meneliti mengenai intervensi yang tepat untuk meningkatkan emosi positif pada pasien kanker.
