Abstract
Lime leaves (Citrus aurantifolia (Christm). Swingle) is one of familiar medicinal plant and has been used as traditional medicine to treat coughs, stomach aches, and sore throats. In its development, lime leaves are made in the form of crude drug and extracts to be used as raw materials in herbal drug manufacture. So, it must be standarized before using it for herbal drug. Standardization process started with determining standard parameters of crude drug and extracts. This research used standard parameters based on Herbal Pharmacopeia of Indonesia. The results of the crude drug standard parameters showed that determination of loss on drying content was 8.2798 ± 0.0314%b/b, determination of water soluble extractive substance was 29.5019 ± 0.1552%b/b, determination of ethanol soluble extractive substance was 10.6610 ± 0.1518%b/b, determination of water content was 8.6609 ± 0.0040 %v/b, determination of total ash content was 11.3300± 0.1734%b/b, determination of acid insoluble ash content was 6.8181 ± 0.0496%b/b, determination of volatile oil content was 0.3997 ± 0.0002%v/b, and determination of rutin content was 0,0552 ± 0,0106%b/b. The results of the standard parameters of lime leaves 70% ethanolic extract showed that, the yield of extract was 18.4%, determination of total ash content was 6.9558 ± 0.0614%b/b, determination of acid insoluble ash content was 0.4734 ± 0.1083%b/b, determination of water content was 5.4959 ± 0.0019%v/b,determination of volatile oil content was 0.3322 ± 0.0005%v/b, and determination of rutin content was 0,2253 ± 0,0801%b/b.
