By analyzing the application of the drilling technique at that course, Practice theory by Rod Ellis is used to analyze the application in teaching English grammar at that course. This study uses descriptive qualitative method. The final result of this study that there are three advantages when the drilling technique is applied in that course. The first advantage is motivating the learners’ confidence in practicing the English language. The second advantage is that drilling technique can make the learners feel comfortable. The last advantage is the learner-centred. Therefore, the production as a part of PPP(Presentation, Practice, Product) may need a further study in order to know the learners’ quality in mastering English grammar.
