Abstract

Introduction: The existence of human resource constituted one of an important factor in working environment especially the service provider for society either it was possessed by private or state. Giving employees motivation was one of the ways to improve employees’ skill. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of remuneration and job achievement in nurse work motivation. Methods: This research used deksriptif analytic method with cross sectional design. The population were 56 nurses, the sample that used in this research was a nurse with 49 respondent. The remuneration was hygiene factor and motivator factor was a work achievement based on Herzberg motivation theory. Both factors were used as independent variable and motivation as dependent variable. The data was obtained by closed-ended question. Then it is analyzed by linier regression. Results: Result found there was no relation between remuneration and nurse work motivation (0.971) between work achievement and work motivation (0,039). Discussion: Regular evaluation is needed to find out the quality and service, especially nurses in providing nursing care to the patients. Spiring on nurse work motivation need a method to achieve vission and mission of the hospital. Although remuneration has no relationship with the motivation of nurses’ work, nurse's welfare should be considered because it is a form of appreciation for what has been done.
