Abstract

A monotonous job is one that is lacking in stimuli, and, at least in western countries, the reaction of an individual to monotony is called boredom. The conditions also can makes fatigue. If accumulating of both were through and pressure to worker, so it will decrease productivity. The research at PT. Gelora Djaja Cabang Petemon Surabaya, special to female worker whose jobs packing cigarettes, and to see a level different of productivity. The type of research is pre experimental with an experiment question: One Group Pretest/Posttest Design, made by three turn of music periods. For examples are the first turn of music period (turn of music period between 10.00 — 11.15 and 14.30 — 15. 45 wib), the second turn of music period (turn of music period 30 minutes at begin of every 120 minutes in work), and last the third turn of music period (turn of music period between 5 — 6 minutes every and after 35 minutes in work). Thus t test in Paired Samples statistic, showed that some significant different in productivity of music period based on target assumptions (in minutes) for soft and hard pack type. But, special in hard pack, has known that there are some s unsignificant of the difterent productivity. At the soft pack types product, if it's compared with control fase, so for every turn of music period can be increased productivity packing of worker. It can be showed in signiticantion the different time whose needed worker to finished packing in four box (800 pack). And in this types of product, the third turn of music period has a one extreme different time of productivity between two others periods. So, it means time they need: 47.6000 minutes and it was more quickly than control fase with sig. 000 (p < 0.05), 33.9000 minutes more quickly than the first turn of music period with sig, 000 (p < 0.05), and 24.38' )3 minutes and it was more quickly than the second turn of music period with sig. 004 (p < 0.05). It was happened because on the third turn of music period have more often of turn frequency and shorter duration than two others. At the hard pack types product, if it's compared with control fase, so the first and third turn of music period can be increased productivity packing of worker. It can be showed in signification the different time whose needed worker to finished packing four tong/box (800 pack). But, at the second turn of music period the different productivity was unsignificant. In fact, also happened between the first and second turn of music periods. And in this type of product, the third turn of music period has one extreme different time of productivity between two others period. It mean time they need: 22.1333 minutes and it was more quickly than control fase with sig. 025 (p < 0,05), 12.8667 minutes more quickly than the first turn of music period with sig. 004 (p < 0.05), and 15.3667 minutes and it was more quickly than the second turn of music period with sig. 000 (p < 0.05). For notice, the values factor of target assumption in research become_ causink_ unsi.gniticantion the different of productivity it each variable. Based on evaluation result of every tong/box productivity in soft and hard pack types has known that tong/box which needed longest time on the first tong/box. And box which fastest time to finishing on the fourth tong/box. In work hours, the finishing time of a both was through in afternoon day. So, by the turn of music heriode result was answer that productivity could be increased although in afternoon day work.
