Abstract

The purpose of this research was found out the effect of giving of prebiotic pegagan (Centella asiatica) extract into Lactobacillus acidophilus probiotic toward feed consumption, weight gain, and feed conversion of male hybrid ducks. This research was an experimental research. This research used pegagan (Centella asiatica) extract and bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus then divided into 4 groups consisting of control treatment (P0), P1 treatment of pegagan (Centella asiatica) leaf extract dose of 1%, P2 treatment of pegagan (Centella asiatica) extract dose 2%, P3 treatment of pegagan (Centella asiatica) extract dose 3%. Data collecting everyday by measured feed consumption and last week measured weight gain of male hybrid ducks. Collected data analyzed with Analysis of Variant (ANOVA). According to amount calculating result of feed consumption and weight gain of male hybrid ducks showed that the giving of prebiotic pegagan (Centella asiatica) extract with different dose of Lactobacillus acidophilus probiotic 1x108 CFU mL-1 of food to male hybrid ducks can not give effect of feed consumption, weight gain, and feed conversion (p>0,05).
