Abstract
This research was aimed to prove that there was improvement by fermented garlic on the histopathological features of the duodenum of indomethacin-induced on rats. This experiment used male rats (Rattus norvegicus) aged 8-12 weeks and weigh 150-200 grams, were divided into five experimental groups, those were control-rats, Indomethacin induced rats with doses 20 mg/kg BW, and group of fermented garlic extract with dose of P1 = 125mg/kg BW, P2 = 250 mg/kg BW, P3 = 500 mg/kg BW. Each duodenum specimen was processed and histopathological changes were observed. Score of epithelial integrity as qualitative data were analyzed with Kruskall Wallis test continued by Mann whitney test.The result of the study showed that extract of Fermented garlic with dose 250 mg/kg BB could repaired damage of duodenum histopathology (p<0,05). Duodenum histopathology repaired was marked by improvements epithelial cells of duodenum.
