Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh korupsi, kualitas pemerintah terhadap konvergensi pertumbuhan ekonomi di Asia. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode regresi panel dinamis (GMM). Perhitungan dispersi konvergensi σ di Asia cenderung meningkat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat konvergensi β absolut dan konvergensi β kondisional di Asia. Hasil estimasi konvergensi β kondisional menunjukkan bahwa korupsi (control corruption), stabilitas politik, efektivitas pemerintah, kualitas perundang-undangan, aturan hukum, dan keterbukaan perdagangan berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi, sedangkan PDB per kapita awal dan konsumsi pemerintah berpengaruh signifikan negatif terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Asia. Penanaman modal asing dan hak suara dan akuntabilitas tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Asia. Rekomendasi kebijakan menunjukkan bahwa negara miskin perlu melakukan akselerasi pembangunan agar mencapai kondisi mapan, menurunkan tingkat korupsi, menjaga stabilitas politik, meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik, memberikan kemudahan berbisnis, menegakkan aturan hukum, mengendalikan pengeluaran konsumsi pemerintah, dan mendorong keterbukaan perdagangan.
