Abstract

Based on data from health agency of Tuban Regency in 2009 number of visit or observation by ultimate pregnant women (K4) of 81,46% from 83% targeted. Of 33 Puskesmas (Public Health Center) in entire Tuban regency, the lowest scope existed in Puskesmas Jenu which reaching 63,44%. This research aimed to identify relationship between attitude and behavior of pregnant women in performing K4 pregnancy examination. This research was analytic research with cross sectional research design where researcher obtained attitude and behavior data to be analyzed in one time. Population used in the research was aterm pregnant women in working area of puskesmas Jenu, Tuban Regency and the sample was part of population or 49 respondents. Result of research showed analysis result using chi square formulation where X2 count = 9,22 was obtained which was greater than X table = 3,84. And analisys result by using Coefisien Contingensi is 0,58. Therefore it could be concluded that there is relationship between attitude and behavior of pregnant women in performing pregnancy observation in working area of Puskesmas Jenu, Tuban Regency. Therefore the relationship is strong enough. This research concluded that there is relationship between attitude and behavior of pregnant women in performing pregnancy examination in working area of puskesmas Jenu, Tuban Regency. Therefore it is expected to health are staff to be more active in fulfilling K4 service program standards.
