Abstract
This study aims to determine the serum antibody titer of broiler against Avian Influenza (AI) virus. This study used 100 samples of broiler chicken serum, that were taken from broiler which was slaughtered at some chicken abattoirs in Kediri. Random sampling method is used, which is a sampling technique in which each sample has an equal probability of being chosen. The test was conducted at Japfa Breeding Laboratory, PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia,Sengon Pasuruan from October to November 2020 using HA and HI test method. The parameter observed in this study was the antibody titer level of native chicken serum samples. Data were analyzed descriptively. The examined serum is considered positive if the test results show an HI antibody titer level ≥2⁴. The results showed that 27 samples were positive for AI antibody subtype H9 from all 100 samples. The level of protection of broiler against AI virus in Kediri chicken abattoirs is very low.
