Abstract

Uterine prolapse in beef cattle is still a problem for farmers. This study aims to determine the prevalence and to know the factors that are related to the incidence of uterine prolapse in beef cattle in animal health center Kunir, Lumajang Regency, 2019. This study was descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. Respondents as the samples in this study were 201 farmers who had beef cattle that gave birth in 2019. The collected data were uterine prolapse incidence, breed, age, degree of the cage floor, dystocia incidence, and retention scundinae incidence. Chi-square analysis test was conducted to know the factors that are related to the incidence of uterine prolapse. The result of this study showed the prevalence of uterine prolapse in beef cattle in animal health center Kunir, Lumajang regency 2019 was 32 %. The results of the chi-square test showed that the factors that related to the incidence of uterine prolapse were age, parity, the degree of cage floor, and retention of scundinae.
