Abstract
The purpose of this study was to detect the sensitivity of Staphylococcus aureus and Eschericia coli isolated from the reproductive tract of dairy cattle in the oestrus phase to antibiotics of Tetracycline, gentamicin, amoxicillin, and ciprofloxacin. In this case, from 24 samples there were 15 samples of Escherichia coli and 1 sample of Staphylococcus aureus was found. The sensitivity test used Kirby-Bauer (Disc Diffusion Method) based on the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute 2017. The sensitivity test results of 15 E. coli bacterial isolates were 100% sensitive to Ciprofloxacin, and Tetracycline. For Gentamicin, 14 (93.33%) sensitive isolates, and 1 (6.67%) resistant isolates. There were 14 (93.33%) sensitive isolates, and 1 (6.67%) intermediate isolates on Amoxicillin. The sensitivity test results of 1 S. aureus bacterial isolate were 100% sensitive to Ciprofloxacin, Gentamicin, and Amoxicillin. Meanwhile, 100% of the isolates were declared resistant to Tetracycline.
