Abstract

The increase in COVID-19 cases in Indonesia continues to increase. Efforts to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19 require an active role from the community. Efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 can be done by implementing 3M (Mencuci tangan, Menjaga jarak, dan Memakai Masker). Knowledge and good attitude are needed to form an independent society in implementing Health protocols. This volunteer activity includes two activities, namely epidemiological surveillance and research on the relationship of knowledge and attitudes to community behavior in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Kandangan Village, Trucuk District, Bojonegoro Regency. The purpose of this volunteer activity is to describe the epidemiological picture of COVID-19 in Bojonegoro Regency and to analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitude towards community behavior in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The researcher involved 93 people as respondents using simple random sampling technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Then the data were analyzed using the chi square test. The results of volunteer activities illustrate that the total positive cases of COVID-19 in Bojonegoro Regency up to June 25, 2020 were 116 cases, of which 13 died and 25 recovered. COVID-19 in Bojonegoro Regency is more common in men (59 cases) and the age group 50-59 years (31 cases). The results showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and behavior to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (p = 0.018; α = 0.05). And there is a significant relationship between attitude and behavior to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (p = 0.037; α = 0.05). The conclusion of this volunteer activity is that COVID-19 in Bojonegoro Regency has spread to almost all sub-districts in Bojonegoro Regency. Knowledge and good attitude can shape positive behavior in society in applying Health protocols in everyday life.
