Abstract

Sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata Nees) and doxorubicin have same activity and mechanism, it can be used for combination therapy to get synergism effect and reduce the side effects caused by the use a single therapy. Were induced mice with benzo(a)pyrene 0.3% (w/v) in oleum olivarum subcutaneously. The results for SGOT after one-way analysis of variance test (ANOVA) with 95% confidence level. At 95% Sig is greater than 0.05. The result of Kruskal-Wallis histopathology liver and kidney histhopathology of the degeneration and necrosis showed significant difference between groups. There is significant difference in normal and group induced benzo(a)pirene. At the heart histopathology of degeneration Asymp. Sig = 0,025; necrosis Asymp. Sig 0,040 showed significant difference, continued by Z test 5%, there was significant difference for degeneration and necrosis in combination doxorubisin compare to single doxo. The combination of sambiloto and doxorubicin can’t reduce the side effects caused by using single therapy of doxorubicin based on Ezim SGOT & SGPT but can reduce the side effects based on organ histopathology ( kidney and heart) in mice
