Abstract

This final report was written to find about the teaching methods and the teaching strategies were used for teaching vocabulary in Fun English program. The writer used the observation and the archival record method for analyzing Fun English program. Based on Heinich, the method of teaching can be through presentation, demonstration, discussion, drill, tutorial, cooperative learning, gaming, simulation, discovery, or problem solving. Besides that, there are several teaching strategies based on Harmer, they are realia, translation, mime, action, gestures, pictures, and contrast. In teaching vocabulary to young learners, a good teacher should prepare the suitable method and strategy to help the learning process.
