Abstract
This study aims to find out the potential of ethanol extract of cayenne pepper leaves against Ascaridia galli worms in vitro. determine whether ethanol extract of cayenne pepper leaves (Capsicum frutescens L.) is effective against the death of worms Ascaridia galli in vitro, and to know the Lethal Concentration of 50 (LC₅₀), LC₉₀, Lethal Time 50 (LT₅₀) ), and LT₉₀. the method that was used in the research was a post-test control group design, there are five treatments and each treatment is done 5 repetitions. The sample used was ten A. galli in each treatment for all repeats. Observation and recording of A. galli who died were carried out at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16 hours. Data analysis using ANOVA and continued with Duncan multiple range Test. The results showed that ethanol extract of cayenne pepper leaves (Capsicum frutescens L.) has an anthelmintic effect on Ascaridia galli worms in vitro. Probit analysis was used to calculate the LC₅₀, LC₉₀, LT₅₀, and LT₉₀.
