Abstract

Determine effectiveness (swab PCR/rapid Ag, oxygen saturation and chest x-ray) and side effect (liver and kidney function test) with management solve the side effect of remdesivir in patient COVID-19 with pneumonia. Methods: Retrospective study which Health Medical Records (HMR) of patients who received remdesivir October 2020-February 2021 with therapy 1,2, and 3. Therapy 1 is patient who received remdesivir, antibiotics, anticoagulant, dexamethasone, N-acetylcysteine, vitamins, minerals, symptomatic and comorbids therapy, therapy 2 without anticoagulant, and therapy 3 without dexamethasone as inclusion criteria, then describe use table, percentage, and description. Result and discussion : Remdesivir loading dose (1x200mg) iv H1 followed maintenance dose (1x200 mg) iv for 5-9 days gave effective in theraphy 1, 2, 3. Swab PCR/rapid ag parameters became negative is 77%, saturation oxygen still use oxygen support with improvement is 52%, and chest x-ray improvement is 68%. The common side effect were increased liver fuction test SGOT (85,30%), SGPT (79,88%), and kidney function test BUN (75,46%), creatinine serum (43,33%). Suggestion : It is necessary to documented the eGFR value in the Health Medical Records (HMR) because some not written. Documentation of eGFR values can be additional data related to side effects of kidney function on remdesivir
