Abstract
Background : In HIV patients, the number and function of CD4 cells decrease progressively, and the disturbance in the function of macrophages and monocytes. HIV infection that destroys CD4 lymphocytes and macrophages cause an increased risk of reactivation and reinfection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Objective : This study aimed to examine the use of antituberculosis drugs and identify drug-related problems (DRP) related to side effects and interactions that may occur. Methods : The study was conducted using retrospective observational data for the period January 2017 to December 2020. The data were analyzed descriptively. Results : HIV-TB patients who used separate drug ATD as many as 5.71%, while patients using FDC were 94.29%. Patients with ATD category 1 were 94.28% and category 2 were 5.71%. Patients received intensive ATD category 1 in the most 94.29% with the dominant dose received by patients was 3 tablets of 4-FDC. The advanced phase OAT category 1 is the most widely used with a dose of 3 tablets of 2-FDC. The problem related to the use of OAT, the actual side effects of 37.14% consist of skin rash with itching (40.00%), liver disorders (10.00%), thrombocytopenia (10.00%), fever (10.00%), rash (10.00% ), and dizziness (20.00%). The potential interaction that occurs was 88.57%. The most common potential interactions were 88.97% pharmacokinetic interactions. Conclusion : The most widely used selection of ATD was FDC package with the oral route. The dominant dose received by the patient was 3 tablets of 4FDC and 3 tablets of 2FDC. The doses of kombipak used were rifampin 450 mg, isoniazid 300 mg, pyrazinamide 1500 mg and ethambutol 750 mg. The frequency of OAT given was in the intensive phase given a daily dose and the continuation phase was given an intermittent dose. The actual side effects consist of skin rash with itching, liver disorders, thrombocytopenia, fever, rash, and dizziness. The most common potential interactions were pharmacokinetic interactions.
