Abstract

A clinical study on the differences between the efectivity of eugenol and pulperyl in reducing the dental pain has been carried out. Sixty, first lower permanent molars which were clinically diagnosed as partial pulpitis were used in this study. The degree of the dental pain of each case studied was measured by means of the pain scores having scale from 1 to 10. Comparisons of the score differences of the dental pain before and after treatment by eugenol (30 cases) and pulperyl (30 cases) were used to assess the effectivity of the drugs tested. The results of the study showed that there was no significant differences between the efectivity of eugenol and pulperyl in reducing the dental pain.
