Abstract

A clinical study on the differences between the effectivity of eugenol and pulperyl on declining the degree of the pulp sensitivity has been carried out Sixty, first lower permanent molars which were clinically diagnosed as partial pulpitis were used in this study. The degree of the pulp sensitivity of each case studied was measured using electric pulp tester. Comparisons of the mean differences of the pulp sensitivity before and after treatment by eugenol (30 cases) and pulperyl (30 cases) were used to assess the effectivity of the drugs tested. The results of the study showed that pulperyl was more effective than eugenol on decclining the degree of the pulp sensitivity.
