Perbedaan Kekuatan Perlekatan Geser Semen Resin Self-Cured Dan Dual-Cured Terhadap Permukaan Dentin.
Skripsi thesis, UNIVERSITAS AIRLANGGA.
Abstract
Background. Resin cement as a luting agent used in dentistry as to fill the gap and give adhesion between prosthodontic fixed bridge and abutment Dental luting agents are used to
cement a broad variety of substrates. They must be capable of providing a permanent bond between the tooth structures and restorations made of various materials, such as metals,
alloy, resin or ceramic. Purpose. This study evaluated shear bond strength of 2 resin cements with different polymerization to dentine surface. Material and Method. This study used 2 groups of samples, each group consists of 7 samples that were shaped into cylinder with 4 mm of diameter and 5 mm of height. The first group was self-cured resin cement with dentine surface and the second group was dual-cured resin cement with dentine surface. Shear testing was performed on Shimadzu autograph using a cross-head speed of 0.5 mmlminute.
The data were analyzed with independent t-test. Result. The result showed that shear bond strentgh of self-cured resin cement is 19.75 Mpa and dual-cured resin cement is 12.02 Mpa.
Conclusion. There is a different shear strength between self-cured resin cement and dualcured resin cement.
