Pengaruh Perendaman Infusa Daun Sirih (Piper Betle Lin) 35 % Terhadap Kekuatan Impak Resin Akrilik Heat Cured.
Skripsi thesis, UNIVERSITAS AIRLANGGA.
Abstract
Background: One of the methods of preserving oral health for resin acrylic denture users is by immersing it into denture cleanser solutions. Sirih leaf is a traditional medicinal herb which contains alkaloid's, flavonoid, tan in, polifenol, and essential oils which has antiseptic properties. Fenol which is a component found in Sirih leaf that can cause damage to resin acrylic. Purpose: The purpose
of this research is to observe if immersion in 35% Sirih leaf infusa has any effect to the impact strength of heat cured resin acrylic Method: The sample's form is a
(65x10x2,5) mm3 slab made out of heat cured resin acrylic. The sample's are then divided into 6 groups of treatment, 3 groups are immersed in the 35% Sirih teaf infusa and the other 3 are immersed inside sterile aqua as the control group for 4, 8, and 12 days. The samples used are 6 for each group. The impact strength is measured usinrr mini imnact tester KRY 28.5.1959 tyne_ The analysisi of the data will be using Kolmogorov-Smirnov analytic and ANOVA Results: The results of the research showed unsignifficant changes between the two 2 groups (p>O.05)
Conclusion: The immersion of heat cured resin acrylic slabs inside the 35 % Sirih leaf infusa for 4, 8, 12 days dldn't affect the lmpact strength of the slabs.
Key words: Piper betle Lin infusa, resin acrylic, impact strength
