Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze effect of economic structure change on local own revenue, employment and socio-economic Welfare of East Kalimantan Province. The data collected in the research is secondary data using panel method (pooling data). The analytical units consist of all regencies/municipalities in East Kalimantan Province with time series during 2001 to 2005. The data is analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). The research findings show that economic structure change of primary and tertiary sector has significant effect on local own revenue while secondary sector has insignificantly effect on local own revenue. The economic structure change of primary and tertiary sector has significant effect on employment, secondary sector has insignificant effect on employment, while the local own revenue has significant effect on employment. The economic structure change of primary, secondary and tertiary sectors have significant effect on socio-economic welfare. The local own revenue significantly affects socio-economic welfare, employment significantly affect socio-economic welfare.
