Skripsi thesis, UNIVERSITAS AIRLANGGA.
Abstract
Kambing Dua Singkawang ketchup home industry had provide PPE standards and sufficient provision for the workers, but in fact there were still workers who were less aware to their personal safety. This was identified that workers were less concern to the danger to not wearing PPE. The study was conducted to determine the relation of awareness of workers in the use of PPE to the occurrence of OD: ICD. The study used an observational method with a retrospective cohort design to observe risk factors and then assess the effects that occurred in the past. The population in this study was 10 people. The data were collected by mean of total sampling. Statistical analysis was performed using Spearman Rho Correlation test. Based on this research, it is known 80% of workers awareness were low, and the incidence of ICD were high (90%), where as the relationship between them showed a strong relationship with the probability value (p = 0.035), and the correlation coefficient (p = ,667). This means that the higher the awarrenes, the lower the incident of ICD. The level awareness of workers in the use of PPE is influential in the incidence of ICD, where the low awareness of workers to use PPE the greater the frequency of occurrence of OD. The researchers suggested that the clinic perform safety talk, safety sign, safety campaign and sanctions if it does not use PPE to raise awareness of workers on the use PPE of part of the bottle washing while working.
