Abstract
This research is intended to improve of biodegradation in contrast with alkyl benzene the previous Four topics of research include 1) improvement of biodegradation efficiency by shaking of degradation medium and resulting non-toxic biodegradation product, 2) discovering new alkylbenzene sulfonate biodegradator microorganisms, is non-toxic, non-patogen, having higher efficiency than the previous research, 3) improvement of alkylbenzene sulfonate biodegradation by giving temperature and pH suitable for the most efficiency bacterial growth compared to a shaking way 4) improvement of biodegradation efficiency of the most efficient alkylbenzene sulfonate microorganism under aeration control and entrapped application compared to temperatur and pH control done under experimental research. Dependent variable is time of degraration and independent variable are· alkylbenzene sulronate concentration, inoculum type, temperature, pH, aeration speed, and entrapping substance. The design was randomized block factorial design and randomized factorial design. The data collected were analized by using analysis of varians of Minitab 9.2 for Window. The difference between treatments were tested by DMRT 1 %. The result of research indicates that the shaking system is able to shorten time of degradation into 0,27 0,41 times compared to a shiking way. Staphylococcus aureus patogenity cannot loosing, eo the bacteria cannot rcomendation. A toxicity test for degradation outcome using Escherlchla coll is stated to be non-toxic. The new alkylbenzene sulfonate biodegradator microorganisms is discovered to be non-patogen, non-toxic referring to Kurthla zopfll and Pseudomonas facllls. Kurthia zopfii is the most efficient mic:roorganiem, the time of biodegradation is about 10,1 days. The temperature of 30°C and pH of 7.2 is the most suitable treatment, giving the time of degradation for 8,67 days. Aeration of 1,50 vvm is the most suitable one with the degradation time about 7,50 days. The application of sodiumal~ inate entrapping substance in continuous culture is able to shorten more time to be only 4,75 days. This result of research is able to develop for waste treatment.
