Pengaruh Inisiasi Menyusu Dini (IMD) Terhadap Bonding Attachment, Produksi Asi dan Hipothermi di Ruang Bersalin RSIA Kendangsari Surabaya.

Abstract
The provision rate of exclusive breastfeeding tends to decrease from one year
to another. In Indonesia, studies on exclusive breastfeeding reveals lower rate of
provision due to less optimum facilitation of early breastfeeding initiation. The
initiation has not been included explicitly within the policy (Fikawati and Syafiq,
201 0). Post-partum problems in the mothers and the babies are mostly due to less
optimum facilitation from health ace agencies and providers. RSIA Kendangsari is
one of mother and child health care center that has already applied early
breastfeeding initiation. The objective of this study was to study the effect of early breastfeeding initiation on bonding attachment between the mother and the baby,
breastmilk production, and hypothermia. This study used pre-experimental design. Samples were collected using non-random sampling method with consecutive sampling, in which the samples were recruited based on the availability. Samples taken were all parturient women found and they met the selection criteria until the required number during the research period from May 1 to June 30, 2012, had been met as many as 30 mothers and children. The independent variable was early breastfeeding initiation, and the dependent variables were bonding attachment, breastmilk production, and
hypothermia.Data collection was undertaken using questionnaire and observation
level. Data were analyzed with Friedman, t-test and Wilcoxon sum rank test with
significance level of0.05 The result of Friedman test showed p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating difference between early body weight, discharge body weight, and control. The result of Friedman test showed p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating difference between early bonding attachment, discharge bonding attachment, and control. The result of Friedman test showed p = 0.016 (p < 0.05), indicated differences among the
temperature of neonates the early, middle, and the end of early breastfeeding
initiation. In conclusion, early breastfeeding is able to increase bonding attachment
between mother and baby, increase breastmilk production, and stabilizes nenonates
temperature, preventing from the incidence of hypothermia. The implication of this
finding from nursing practive is that facility for early breastfeeding initiation should be provided to normal as well as secio caesarean deliveries according to standard staging in early breastfeeding initiation.
