Abstract

Stress Hospitalization often happens in the children who is hospitalized. There are various responses caused by hospitalization, such as separation anxiety, loss control, and bodi injury and pain. The objective of this research was to analyze the influence of finger painting on physcologycal respon of stress hospitalization at the pre school children (3-6 year). This research used quasi experimental pre-post control design. Held in 21th june to 21th july 2010. The sampling method used purposive sampling with total sample 18 respondents. Independent variable was finger painting while dependent variable was psychological responses of stress hospitalization. Data were collected by using questionnaire for parents children every day and observation sheet which consisted psychological responses of stress. Then, it analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann Whitney U test with significant level p <0,05. The result showed that finger painting had significant on decreasing psychological responses of stress hospitalization on first day (p=0,008), second day (p=0,007), third day (p=0,008) and fourth day (p=0,008). It can be concluded that finger painting effected on psychological responses of stress hospitalization. Further study recommended on the influenced of finger painting on biological responses for the pre school children that hospiced.
